Born out of necessity in an era where truth is under siege, Digital Defence emerged as a powerful response to the weaponization of online platforms. Co-founded by Jennifer Lee, accomplished professional and advocate, and Zara Cooper, corporate lawyer, entrepreneur, brand strategist and an online advocate with a passion for social impact, Digital Defence represents the perfect fusion of strategic expertise and lived experience.
What began as personal missions —Jennifer’s deep understanding of ideological conflict, identity politics, and online dynamics, Zara’s against digital harassment and unsafe online conduct —evolved into a shared vision: to protect individuals, amplify truth, and create safer digital spaces for all Australians.
With roots in advocacy, law, and a decade of navigating cultural and political activism, Digital Defence aims to strengthen and promote tolerance and democratic values through reform campaigns targeted at the Australian government, law enforcement and the social media and tech giants.
In an Australia where the epicentre of social division and discord is the digital space, Digital Defence is more than an initiative—it’s a necessity.
